Lemon Wine (Horrid)

Ingredients

2kgGlucose
1 sachetSafale S-04 yeast
4kgLemons, juiced
3gYeast Nutrient
4 lemonszested

Method

Identical method as for lemonade, but left pulp in boiling mixture, and filled to only 16 litres.

While our previous lemonade turned out quite nicely (albeit a little weak), this stuff ended up being horrid. It was bitter and undrinkable. We almost certainly used the wrong yeast, and putting the lemon pulp into the mash was definitely a bad idea.

I suspect using our lemonade receipe but simply filling to a lower capacity will provide much more suitable results.

I'm suspicious of the SG measurements we have recorded for this brew.
