Ingredients

2.5kg	Light malt extract
250g	Crystal grain (cracked)
200g	Glucose
250g	Flaked Barley
1tsp	Magnesium Sulphate
2tsp	Irish Moss
70g	Bittering Hops
25g	Goldings Hops
1 sachet	Safale S-04 Yeast

Method

Right, let's make some beer from scratch. Goodness, it's a lot more work (and a lot more expensive) than using beer syrup from a can. However it produced a pretty nice beer.

The method used for making this brew is that detailed in Home Brewing, by Michael Rodgers-Wilson. It's not reproduced here.

Tasting Notes

Fantastic beer, but lots of sediment. Racking prior to bottling would have probably been wise.
