Impressive Blue Devil fishes could be found under ledges.

A playful seal discovered us underwater.
This dive was arguably the best dive we've had to date in Victoria. We had visited Castle Rock the day before, so we knew our way around the dive site. It was our first dive of the day, and I had a jumbo tank, so we had plenty of bottom time. To top it all off, the the weather was sunny, the water clear, and the camera had acceptable batteries.
The dive progressed at a leisurely pace. We explored the outcroppings of the rock which were covered in sea-squirts, and then proceeded to slowly work our way around the main rock. We saw our first glimpse of a spectacular blue devil fish, hiding underneath an outcropping. Photographing it was another matter, and as we didn't have an independent light-source, the back-scatter from our flash proved to be troublesome.
The hilight of the dive came part way through when we were attempting to photograph a number of sea tulips. A curious seal decided to effortlessly dive down to 18m to see what us divers were up to. We weren't the only pair diving around the rock, and the seal had a good time checking out every one of us.
The seal obviously caused great excitement between the divers, and it seemed to enjoy being the centre of attention for some time. However there came a time when the seal became bored with us, and we became bored with the seal, and we continued our journey around the rock.
After a few more minutes of admiring the spectacular formations and chasing more blue devil fish, we turned around to see that the seal had returned, and was swimming straight towards us. Jacinta was quick with the camera, and succeeded in snapping an awesome picture of the seal which we're still showing off to our friends and family.
