Desk-space
Scotty has a huge amount of collected stuff that he keeps on
his desk. It's stored in a more sorted fashion than the
stack-based system that I use, but there's a problem that
Scott doesn't seem to have enough desk space for his needs.
Occasionally Scotty things drift over to my beautiful,
clean, pristine desk-space that I haven't fouled with
8-month-old bug notes. I don't think Scott's realised that
my little line of candles, chocolate, hackey-sacks and
business-cards-cubes actually marks my territory, but it
does. I had to move a server off my desk today.
Sam
Sam hasn't gone home yet. Neither have I. But Sam doesn't
have a good excuse. He's probably still working, he's not
drunk, and he's not exhausted from hackey-sack or recovering
from Indian.
Rock-climbing
Karen, our temp-secretary, is going to come rockclimbing
with us on Sunday. This is very good. Karen's very nice,
but it's a shame she's stuck in a temp-secretary job. She's
got a lot more skills than that, but her visa stops her from
working in any one spot for too long.
Life
It's a shame we only get one of them each. Life's so good
I'd really like to have three lives -- like in pacman.
Anyone have any paths to immortality?

Hackey-sack
The Schoolsnet hackey team got a nine-hack today. We rock.

Work
Too much context switching. Bugs, packaging, new code,
maintainance, diplomacy, consultation, advice, commitees,
hackey-sack, meetings, lunch, politics. Seriously
considering dropping Mondays and working Saturdays (or
something like that), so that I can get some work done
without interruption.
There's one bug that I've wanted to fix for a long long
time. I thought I had it once or twice, but didn't.
Unfortunately, despite that project being my "main task", I
rarely seem to have the time to work on it.

Rockclimbing
Made the trip over to Nunawading for some good climbs, and
good climbs they were. I've really noticed my technique
improving, which is good.
Work
I'm in at work bright and early. I was the first developer
in. This is mainly because Ian gave me a lift and usually
gets to work before I wake up in the morning.

Memory Loss
After a long time in trying to remember, I've realised that
I can no longer remember my passphrase for my old PGP key
(0x3D33ADCB). This is bad. From this lesson I've learnt
that it really is a good idea to have a pre-generated
certificate of revocation for just this circumstance.
As it is, I've had to contact everyone who's previously
signed the key and ask them to revoke their signature. I'm
feeling pretty silly at the moment.
Not many people used my old key, which is good. And AFAIK,
none of the e-mail addresses on that key still forward.
This is probably good.
For those who care, 0xB1479E55 can be used to communicate
with me from now on.
