Exporting Training
Most of Perl Training Australia's busi ness domestic, but from time to time we export our training; almost always to New Zealand, which is practically another state of Australia anyway.

However today we exported training to the Netherlands. No PTA representative is traveling to Europe, nor is a delegate coming over here. Instead, the group in the Netherlands are re-selling that training to an office in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is then transferring the training to a person in their Sydney office. The person in Sydney will be attending our course.

Recursion in business is a wonderful thing.

Melbourne.PM elections

Melbourne.PM elections
Last night Melbourne.PM held its first AGM, a required step in becoming a registered association. A motley crew of members were elected into the committee, and their picture taken.

Journal
In addition to the regular outlets (use.perl and advogato), my journal now appears on pjf.id.au as well. This is important for my non-geek friends, who complain about my journal being hidden on strange websites that have camel fascinations.

Diving Logbook

Diving Logbook
I've slowly started to convert my diving logbook from paper form to digital form. I've still got a number of dives to enter, as well as photographs to add, and that will no doubt happen as time permits.

Of note of the dives that I have entered was our "deep dive". It describes a rather interesting of inexperienced divers, strong currents, and our first dive below 18 metres.
